(O)ne day there will be L♥VE Letters

Until that day I am content to read what others wish they would hear. This is the one I would have written, If I had the courage to write it down at all.

Important J(O)B related stuff

I sent the following to my supervisor:

Sometimes after I do these things I get INSTANTLY sick, and think to myself: WTF did you just do?? Will this be funny? Does sarcasim translate through email?

Shoot... text messages get misread all the time, people get offended, what if this email is that way?

Did i take the joking a step to far?

Will Jeff think I'm [nuts/bratty/stupid/stuck up] or any other nasty work you can put there. Crap WHY did I blind CC CAitlyn, I should have sent it to her first to make sure it was crossing the line.

How can I avoid eye contact all day....

And then, I heard him laugh, Ah sweet sweet laughter.

A Piece of my ♥ is in Iraq

My little brother Grant redeployed to Iraq this week. He was supposed to leave at 1:00am on Wednesday morning. He is going out as part of a pre-deployment team. Their flight was cancelled so he left Thursday(1/29/09) at 6:00am.

I am going to miss him so much. My brother is one of the funniest people I know. Growing up he was a little on the quite side (he was the 4th out of five and the baby for 7 years). He has several (me included) outspoken siblings, so he was the peace maker. As we have grown up Grantie (I know its lame but I call him that) has become one of my best friends. He is funny and caring and kind. He is such a genuine person, its refreshing to be around him.

So I may not always show it, and I say it even less: I love you Grantie. I will miss you. I will pray for you. May angels watch over and protect you. You are my Hero.

Your annoying older sister, Celina =)

This is the last thing we saw of him when he deloyed in 2007-2008

These are some of the picutre he took on a disposable camera last year. My brother is such a Bad Ass.

Breast En(laugh)ment

Ok I saw this infomercial and about died laughing. I remember reading "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" when I was younger. I remember the girls chanting: We MUST, We MUST, We MUST increase our bust, while doing chest exercises. I just never thought about it as a viable option to firm and lift (I laugh as I type this, I mean I don't need bigger boobs, so I am not sure why this was so funny to me. Maybe that is why)

I mean I guess it is a better alternative to breast enhancement surgery. I am curious if it really works. Anyone crazy enough to try it??

Let me know if you are! It could be a good experiment for someone else out there. Think about it...

SP^RK is the new Cool

SP^RK: If you want to Feel Trendy THIS IS YOUR PLACE. It’s a hip Urban lounge in the middle of down town Provo. I know you are thinking:WAIT Urban & Provo don’t go together. And you are CORRECT. Spark is a great little restaurant- good food, FUN drinks (fake), trendy, hip, black, chandelier and all.
I don't have a BF so instead I drag my friends everywhere (maybe, JUST maybe I have a list of places to go, things to do and restaurants to try...). This is one of the places I have wanted to try. Would it have been more fun with a cute guy, and my tab being picked up by someone else? Maybe...Sorry girls! It was STILL amazing to try this hot spot for a nice little business lunch. We loved it. We hope you love it too so that it stays. Check out SP^RK at the Wells Fargo Building. Its worth a shot!

Single = NOMAD?

I am back at it again. I am MOVING. Why do things always look like this when you are getting packed up... Is it just me? I know that moving is a part of life, but I think I move more than most. This will be my third Ok I just RE counted, and its the 4th move in 8 months. That means I Average a 2 months stay. That is bad. I am so sick of boxing my stuff up, wrangling people to help me, and unpacking it all AGAIN. I signed a contract through August, so my next stop will be home for a while. Then we will see where the wind blows (I almost wrote: where the wind blows me, but that didn't sound right)

s(O)me one is out to get me

So maybe they don't want to kill me, but they FOR SURE spiked my Smart Water with Bleach. NO I am not Paranoid. NO I did not make anyone mad, step on any one's toes or throw ANYONE under a bus (literally or figuratively). BUT ALAS, someone is out to get me.

I don't know who, but I will find out. Sad because I am even nice to the cleaning people.

The bleach spiking was confirmed by 5 separate coworkers. 6 NOW! (confirmation by smell test)

Happy DEATH DAY, to me...

Ok so in a weird way I think birthdays are really death days. I mean you are one year closer to dying. What's to celebrate? Aside from having Kick A friends, a good job, a loving family, and a relatively happy life? I mean besides all of that good stuff NOTHING! Ok maybe a little something.
  • I pre-Celebrated with my fam (Mom, Dad, Morgs, Brookie and Grant) With the Scuba Sister cake. Then I RE pre-celebrated on Saturday the 24th- With Mom Dad and Morgs. We went to Tucanos YUM, went book shopping at Borders and SURPRISED me with a stop by Simply Mac to pick out an Ipod NANO! I picked the purple one, named her Ruby and Love her! Thanks mom and DAD! I was soooo surprised at their generosity. (she is such a pretty color, and more sparkly and dark in real life. Ohhh Ruby)

  • Then on my REAL death Day: I ate Sour cream enchilada, MY FAVE (I know they are sick and easy to make a messy and creamy and are filled with EVERYTHING that makes me sick, but I ♥ them). I talked with all the marrieds (Moe and Dan, Kris and Scott, Jesse and Dareth, Sarah and Joe, Cait and Tadd). I think Jesse got enough GIRL TALK to last him all year. He was a good sport about it. I laughed with the singles (Bree and Emmie). I met Bennett for the FIRST TIME. We ate Pineapple Upside Down Cake, MY FAVE. We Chit chatted the night away. I opened up some cute stuff- earrings, cuff and scarf. I got some of my FAVORITE TREATS- sugar babies and Crunch Bunch with a balloon! I got a bag full of goodies- tide to go, 2 magazines, lip gloss and the like. AND I am awaiting delivery of my flower ring. Good times!

  • THen on my RE fake Birthday, at work. My boss surprised me with a cake! and a little celebration it was so nice. AND he picked up my tab when we went out for our bosses, bosses, bosses birthday on the Friday before. THANKS JEFF, you are the best.

So thank you to EVERYONE who made my birthday GREAT. I am sorry we didn't think to take pictures until after MOST of you left.

UTAH INVADES THE W(O)RLD!

Ok so maybe I was doing a little blog stalking this morning (don't judge me I am totally caught up at work). So I went from a friends blog to another blog to that roommates blog. I discovered the most AMAZING Product.

The Bumpit I thought, is STRAIGHT out of UTAH and taking over the world. No no no, I was wrong! It came straight out of the Armpit of the world, FRESNO, CA (Sorry Dink, I know you liked going to school there).

So here it is in all its glory:

I'm not going to lie, I am sure that back combing has its place (I have more volume than almost anyone can need), but REALLY? Oh it made me laugh, so I share it with all of you.

(DISCLAIMER: If you own this product and I have offended you I am sorry. If you click the link and want to order it, please do I would love to see one in real life)

Paper Heart made me SMILE

Last Night was a little something like this:

Paper Heart is hillarious. It made me laugh out loud. It made me smile. It made me snort. It made me want to fall in love.

Hearing from the director was fun too. Sounds like it was a fun film to make and star in. a 4 week road trip I would have LOVED to be on.

Three Cheers for Paper Hearts! See it when it is mass released.
It was Cream Coat day, didn't you get the memo?

Remember that once when we took a shuttle all the wrong ways and then walked to main street and back to find our car? Remember the once when Ashley started booking and Kristen was in heels and couldnt keep up? Remember that once when dinner for three cost $75?

I DO IT WAS A GREAT DAY!

WELCOME H(O)ME

Can you believe that the entire house switch only took 6 hours? SIX HOURS to move the Bush family out and the Obama family in. Clothes in closets, snacks in the fridge, pictures hung up and all. I have moved about a million times in the last 5 years and it has NEVER taken me as little as 6 hours.

I am hopefully optimistic about the new President and the First family. Jenna and Barbara Bush left some wonderful pieces of wisdom to little Malia and Sasha. They give some pointers that only two sister who have been there could give. Its worth a read. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Surround yourself with loyal friends. They'll protect and calm you and join in on some of the fun, and appreciate the history.

  • Slide down the banister of the solarium, go to T-ball games, have swimming parties, and play Sardines on the White House lawn. Have fun and enjoy your childhood in such a magical place to live and play.

  • Our dad, like yours, is a man of great integrity and love; a man who always put us first. We still see him now as we did when we were seven: as our loving daddy. Our Dad, who read to us nightly, taught us how to score tedious baseball games. He is our father, not the sketch in a paper or part of a skit on TV. Many people will think they know him, but they have no idea how he felt the day you were born, the pride he felt on your first day of school, or how much you both love being his daughters. So here is our most important piece of advice: remember who your dad really is.

Here's to you Mr. President! My you be inspired and directed. I voted for you, and pray for you and have hope and faith you will lead us with honor.

SCUBA Sister

I have always wanted to be SCUBA certified. I did an intro drive in Mexico with friends a few years back, and have been wanting to do it ever since. Soooo this winter I DID IT! Ashley and I signed up for classes at Desert SCUBA (be warned we got a little bamboozled on the gear). We sat through the class work- making lots of jokes and poking fun at our teacher SCUBA Jay.

I KNOW, I should stop taking SICK pictures, and I REALLY should stop posting them!
Almost froze then over heated during the pool classes- The first night the pool was FREEZING, and we had to call the class because people were turning blue and our teacher was afraid of hypothermia. The second class they over heated the pool so bad that after 5 hours in all our gear a few of us got physically ill.

FINALLY this past weekend (Friday & Saturday) we finished our open water dives. We did our open water dive in the crater. It was a lot of fun, and good to be done!!! We can pick up our temporary PADI cards this week, along with our signed log books! Now for a SCUBA Trip.
To celebrate MORGAN made me a SCUBA CAKE! It looked a little something like this:
YEP thats me SCUBA Diving in the Crater! Hee hee soooo cute!

THANKS POOH, the cake was AMAZING. It was a super cute surprise, and i appreciate all your hard work!

Experiment 2009-003

Ask a Question: What Is Bikram Yoga?

Research: I read about Bikram on a friends blog, and started to do a little research on the matter. Bikram yoga is “hot Yoga”. A series of 26 postures is practiced twice in a hot room. During the 90 minute class this happens to your body. The recommended minimum temperature is 105 Degrees and 40 Humidity. Yogiraj Bikram Choudhury is the founder of the worldwide Yoga College of India™. If you want to learn more about him and how he started Bikram Yoga click here.

Hypothesis: Will Bikram Yoga will Transform my body

Experimental Design: Attend Bikram Toga 3-4 times a week during a one month period. Make small goals to pass during each class to help foster progression. Take measurements, weight, and overall health analysis before and after.

Class Number One: I somehow convinced Dareth to be apart of this experiment. I know what a good friend. So we were chit chatting about it, I showed her the website and we decided to just do it. We attended the 12:00pm class at Bikram Yoga, Sandy. Driving up we were a little nervous. Mostly we just didn’t know what to expect. I have never been to a real Yoga class, let alone in a hot room. Would people know we were new? What if we couldn’t get into a single posture? Did we have enough water? There were so many thoughts swirling around our heads we giggled and looked like this the entire way up:
We got to the studio early and signed up! The Sandy studio has a new student offer. 30 days unlimited for $29. Its supposed to get you hooked. Here we are gathering out things and looking all excited:

The instructor was really nice and inviting. She told us sort of what to expect- you will be sooo tiered, you will not be able to do everything, you will probably feel sick. Also the teach in Bikram doesn’t get into the postures, they teach and explain. It was sort of nice because since she wasn’t practicing she would continue to remind you to suck in your stomach, reach higher, bend a little farther, Celina your right hip needs to come forward and so on. WE also talked with some of the students who were encouraging and so nice. They shared experiences from starting out and some tips. BREATHE THROUGH YOUR NOSE.

The class started at 105 degrees. Which didn’t seem to bad. We got in, set up our mats and stretched out. When the class starts the studio front door is locked so there are no interruptions. We started going. It was harder then I thought, and at the same time I was able to do a lot more then I thought. I was light headed and hot. The instructor kept turning up the heat as we got more stretched out. I made it through 45 minutes of standing postures, before I had to excuse myself to vomit in the bathroom (at this poitn the room was 110 degrees). I cooled off, and went back in. I made it through another 30 minutes of standing and floor postures before I had to vomit again. Our instructor came out to check on me, told me it was normal and encourage me to come back in. I finished the floor postures and breathing exercised. I rested, cooled off and vomited again. Everyone kind of laughed about it. I felt fine after, just really tired.

Dareth did much better. She was able to stay in the room the entire time which is a feat in itself. She also was very tired and dripping in sweat. Its amazing you sweat from everywhere. Our class was really cool. There were three first timers and people in between. From an older woman who could do all the postures perfectly, to super fit young people who were trying and an older man who was in better shape than any college age boy I have ever seen.
We looked like this when we left:

That is my "I JUST THREW UP THREE TIMES" face
I will keep you posted on how this expirement turns out. I am debating heading up to another class tonight after work. I decided I want to make it through all of the standing postures before having to cool off. So I will let you know how class 2 goes in comparison.
So far I love it in a weird way. I like that anyone can be in the class at their own level and still get a lot out of it. I like that its just you pushing past your limitations. I like that I feel relaxed after, and that I slept amazing last night.
Try it, I dare you
